Julia has been in love with Michael for years. He’s the hottest guy in school, and she can’t believe her luck when they finally hit it off during Senior Prom. Her dream doesn’t last, though: after a few dates, he callously dumps her out of the blue. Summer vacation starts with Julia feeling heart-broken and miserable. But then she rescues Michael in the woods when he has a motorcycle accident in a heavy thunderstorm. From that point onward, her life is turned upside down. Michael has changed completely after the blow to the head that nearly killed him... and he wants her back. But why is he so different? And will she be able to trust him this time around?

Can the boy who broke your heart ever win it back again..?

The Island Trilogy

Geplaatst door Jen Minkman op 14:05 0 reacties
The Island Trilogy is nearing its end... I'm currently writing book 3 (called The Deep) and hope to be able to publish that by the end of May. And book 2 has recently been published on Audible as an audiobook, too! So The Island people are doing really well :) If you want to know when The Deep is out, sign up for my mailing list on the left. In the meantime, here's a picture of the cover for book 3 and a link to the Audible version of The Waves!

Another trip to one of my 'book places' !

Geplaatst door Jen Minkman op 09:22 2 reacties
Last summer, I visited Navajo Nation, the setting for my novel 'Shadow of Time'. This coming April, I'm going to Salzburg, the city where 'The Boy From The Woods' is set!
Though the trip is a bit different for me (I used to live there, after all), it's still quite exciting because I haven't been there for years, and I'm curious to see what 'Julia's neighborhood' looks like! I'll be sure to take pictures of her and Thorsten's street, the forest where she goes to write her poetry and music, the pub she goes out, the bookstore where she works, and Michael's house, of course! Most of all, I hope I'll be able to find an oak in the forest that would be a perfect example of Julia's tree :) Stay tuned!
